First let me say that I’m not a big collector and I don’t have a
pedigree collection of comic books. I’m just a casual collector that
happened to have a book with sentimental value that I wanted to get
pressed and graded.
I thought since I only had one book that Mr.
Solomon might treat me differently than someone submitting a whole
collection of books to be pressed. Not so. He was prompt, professional
and courteous in his interactions with me. He even gave me unbiased
advice and dispelled my doubts when I expressed concern about the whole
process. He was always very upfront and I never felt like he was
pressuring me into anything.
The pressing service itself was
fantastic. He even sent me a couple of before and after photos. The book
ended up with a higher grade from CGC than either of us expected. I
would definitely do business with Mr. Solomon again. His services are
right on par with the other big names in the pressing business, but at a
fraction of the price. You just simply can’t go wrong here.

Stephen recently worked on some books I had received from sellers in soft envelopes, leading to corner damage. Most collectors would end up either tossing these books, selling them off, or burning them to forget the bad transactions. What else could you do?
In
sharing photos with Stephen, he felt there was a chance to potentially
improve their condition. After sending him the books, Stephen was
thorough and honest in assessing whether his services could make a
difference. He even pointed out that one book had no chance for
improvement, and I was better off to save my money.
And what a
difference he made. This book was sold as a 9.6/9.8, and was then mailed
in a soft envelope with a piece of thin cardboard for protection. But
at least the seller had scribbled "DON'T BEND" on the envelope. It
arrived as a 9.2 due to corner hits to the package.
